Your
schedule may dictate the time of year you're able to visit Walt
Disney World in Orlando. School schedules, work schedules and family
events, all play a part in determining when you can visit Magic
Kingdom and the other theme parks at Walt Disney World. If you have
flexibility in your schedule, here's a look at the crowds you can
expect at various times throughout the year.
Really busy times at Disney
- Christmas through New Year's Day
- Easter week & surrounding 'Spring break' weeks
- Fourth of July week
Busy season at Walt Disney World
- Spring and summer (other than the weeks mentioned above)
- Thanksgiving week
Moderate to light crowds at Walt Disney World
- Late February
- Early May
- Mid to late September
- October through early December (except Thanksgiving week)
Coincidentally, the busy seasons are also the time where accommodations
& transportations are the most expensive. If you go during one of
the less-crowded times you're sure to save some money- and get more
from your park visits due to shorter lines. Keep in mind that some
of the attractions may be closed for repairs during winter months
& off-seasons, and also some of the park hours may be shortened.
