Magic Kingdom: Opening show

As if your magical day at Magic Kingdom isn't enough, Disney provides both an opening show- and the "Wishes" fireworks show at park closing. The opening and closing shows at Magic Kingdom make it definitely worthwhile to come early and stay late!

Magic Kingdom: Park opening show

Although the opening show at Magic Kingdom is not nearly as exciting as the "Wishes" fireworks show, it is definitely worth arriving early to see! The show is begins with song and dance numbers welcoming guests to the Magic Kingdom, and performed by Disney cast members, and citizens of Main Street U.S.A.

After a couple of Broadway-style numbers, you'll hear the whistle of the Toontown Railway coming around the bend. Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and all the Disney friends are aboard the train and the crowd cheers as the train steams around the bend. One lucky family gets chosen to ride in on the train with the Disney friends, and help open the park by throwing magic 'pixie dust' into the air. The countdown begins… 10….9…8……0!!!
