Top rides & attractions at Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios has some of the coolest rides in all
of Walt Disney World! Whether you're looking for thrill rides, shows,
or just something a little different, Hollywood Studios has something
for you!
Here's a look at our top picks for rides & attractions at Disney's
Hollywood Studios theme park.
Rock
'n' Roller Coaster
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith is possibly the best
pure 'thrill-coaster' in all of Walt Disney World. The ride begins
with you in the studio with the band, catching the end of a recording
session. They need to cut it short to get to the show, and they
invite you to come along. You move to the next room while you wait
for your limo to arrive. That's right- the roller coaster looks
like a super stretch limousine! After traffic clears, you burn rubber-
going from zero to top speed in a matter of seconds. The ride is
entirely indoors, and parts of the ride are in the dark- lit only
by the street signs. You'll twist and turn down the freeway before
screeching to a stop- making it in time for the start of the show.
A true thrill from start to finish made that much better by the
premise being the experience.
Twilight
Zone Tower of Terror
Ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and you'll be 'creeped
out' from the minute you get into line in this very eerie experience.
You'll feel you're truly in a haunted hotel as your 'elevator car'
roams the halls and you watch the spooky scenes leading up to the
ride. Once you enter the tower, you'll zip to the top and be dropped
suddenly (and randomly) down several floors at a time. The ride
is controlled by a couple of different pre-programmed sequences
meaning you can ride it several times and have a different experience
each time!
Lights,
Motors, Action! - Extreme Stunt Show
Anyone with a passing interest in high-speed car chases, shootouts,
and motorcycle stunts should go see the Lights, Motors, Action!
- Extreme Stunt Show at Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll see a
variety of action sequences 'live' and then see them played back
in slow motion on a large video screen as the stunt coordinator
explains how they're filmed. It's a truly unique experience to see
how the cameras are setup for filming the various stunts, and to
get an inside look at the special cars and equipment involved in
bringing the stunts to life. There's a huge explosion in the finale,
and if you're lucky, you'll get to see the stunt-guy on the motorcycle
start on fire! There's even a special appearance by Herbie the Love
Bug from the old Disney movies!
