Epcot opening Show
While all of the four major theme parks at Walt Disney World in
Orlando (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios)
have some sort of opening show, the opening show at Disney's Epcot
theme park is probably the smallest with the least amount of fanfare.
Mickey greets the guests at Epcot's park opening
While visiting Epcot, you'll want to arrive at the gate about ½
hour prior to the park's opening. You'll be with several hundred
visitors who are just as anxious to enter the park as you are. There
will be a few characters milling about to meet and greet the guests.
Then the countdown begins...
Epcot IllumiNations closing show
With its laser lights, fireworks, synchronized fountains, and rousing
music, the IllumiNations closing show at Epcot is thought by many
to be the best of all closing shows at Walt Disney World. IllumiNations
takes place over the World Showcase lagoon and you can expect MAJOR
crowds.

Epcot IllumiNations fireworks
Like the Wishes closing show at Magic Kingdom, there's a reason
for the big crowds- it's worth it! The show centers around a large
globe in the lagoon and can be seen from anywhere in the area. If
you watch IllumiNations from near the Mexico pavilion, you'll be
able to beat many of the crowds as they heard toward the exit at
the close of the show. Add IllumiNations to your list of 'must do'
activities on your next Disney vacation!
