Animal Kingdom dining overview
Dining options at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park are fairly
limited. If you're looking for a nice sit-down meal, you'll only
have a couple of restaurants from which to choose. Like Hollywood
Studios, there is only one character dining option available. Despite
this fact, there are still enough restaurants available to find
something for everyone.
Yak
& Yeti
Whether you crave a sit-down meal or quick counter service meal,
the Yak & Yeti restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom has you covered!
One of the newest restaurants at Animal Kingdom, Yak & Yeti offers
both! You'll enjoy the cuisine of several Asian nations that are
both delicious and reasonably priced. If you get hungry while in
Asia at Animal Kingdom, check out Yak & Yeti restaurant.
Tusker
House
While in Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom, check out Tusker House.
This buffet style restaurant features a variety of American cuisine
and is the only restaurant in Animal Kingdom with character dining.
The Donald Duck Breakfast Safari character dining option is only
available at breakfast so you'll need to book early to enjoy it.
If you can't make it for breakfast, the Tusker House is still a
great place to enjoy a lunch or dinner.
Best of the rest dining at Animal Kingdom
If
those two options don't whet your appetite, you may want to check
out Rainforest Cafe. The atmosphere is appropriate for Animal Kingdom,
but if you've 'been there done that' at other Rainforest Cafes,
you'll find the same noisy frenetic atmosphere here. The Flame Tree
Barbecue may be a better option. They have great counter-service
ribs, chicken, and pulled-pork sandwiches and scenic, shaded outdoor
seating areas. If you have young kids that would rather eat at McDonald's
check out Restaurantosaurus- Animal Kingdom's answer to the golden
arches!
